Additional medical procedures
Additional medical procedures are the screening tests and specific questionnaires performed by the medical supervision department during health surveillance. For example, we test eyes, ears, breathing, and perform blood or urine tests where necessary, depending on the work performed and the associated health risks.
Today, June 11, 2019, an amendment to the Welfare Codex was published in the form of the Royal Decree of May 14, 2019, amending periodic health surveillance.
This amendment allows for the majority of risks that a nurse, under the supervision of the occupational physician, has autonomous contact with the employee and then performs the additional medical procedures. Periodic health surveillance then takes place every two years by the occupational physician. The employee naturally has the right to a spontaneous consultation with the physician. The employer must inform them about this annually.
Exceptions
The occupational physician can schedule periodic examinations at shorter intervals for individual employees or groups when unusual results are found.
