Healthy teleworking: organize a webinar for your employees on the ergonomic design of the teleworkplace.

Teleworking has been the norm for over a year in the fight against the COVID-19 virus and will likely remain so. Therefore, it is urgently time to consider the design of the home workplace.

You should not lose sight of this aspect. Just like in the office, a bad (read: non-ergonomic) workplace at home leads to the development of physical complaints, reduced productivity, and decreased employee performance.

Ergonomists, occupational physicians, and physiotherapists are already noticing a significant increase in physical complaints among VDU workers. These findings are confirmed by recent research.

Unfortunately, there is often less adjustable furniture available at home than in the office. This makes it more difficult for employees to properly set up their workplace and thus adopt a good posture during screen work. Many employees also tend to move less at home during work. Prolonged sitting, in turn, carries the necessary risks: muscle and joint complaints, overweight, reduced mental well-being, cardiovascular diseases, type II diabetes, and even certain types of cancer.

With the learned basic principles in our webinar, your employees can start optimizing their own home workplace. Together with the participants, the limitations and difficulties that arise when setting up their own home workplace will be discussed. Participants are not only informed but also sensitized about the importance of good posture and sufficient movement.
