On October 10th, it is World Mental Health Day, a moment that not only calls for attention to mental health, but also to the resilience that enables us to overcome life's challenges. As every year, this day falls within the 10-day period of Mental Health, where we focus on strengthening our mental resilience and creating a supportive environment.

Resilience is the strength that helps us recover from setbacks and difficult situations. It enables us to manage stress, turn negative thoughts into positive ones, and find hope, even in the most challenging times. Developing resilience is essential for our well-being and has positive effects on our relationships, our work, and our daily lives.

In the context of the workplace, mental health is of crucial importance. Good mental health not only promotes productivity, but also strengthens interpersonal relationships and the overall work atmosphere. When employees feel supported and heard, they are better able to handle stress and find creative solutions to problems. Employers play a key role in this by creating a culture where open communication about mental health is normal, by offering training and workshops that help employees develop their resilience, and also by highlighting contact with the confidential adviser as well as with Premed, your external prevention service for well-being at work.

Together we can increase the power of resilience. Share your stories and tips for staying resilient on social media with the hashtag #samenveerkrachtig. By uniting our voices, we create a culture of understanding and support, where everyone feels heard and supported.
