5 tips you can use during a next toolbox meeting or distribute among your employees.
- Keep your material within reach to prevent excessive reaching. Clear access beforehand or ask the client to do so.
- Move heavy loads using a technical aid. Think of a hand truck, a wheelbarrow, or suitable lifting equipment. Is a technical aid not possible? Ask for help!
- Choose appropriate tools. Use light or pneumatically powered alternatives where possible, pay attention to the shape of the handle, and ensure regular maintenance of your material.
- Do you have to work on your knees? Limit the duration by varying your posture and use knee pads or a mat.
- As a plumbing installer, you perform many repetitive actions. Try to vary tasks as much as possible, pause occasionally, and stretch regularly throughout the day.
