Tournée Minérale is back, for the tenth time even. De Druglijn's campaign calls on everyone to, for the first time or again, not drink alcohol for a month in February 2026. Many Belgian celebrities are participating in this anniversary edition. Moreover, this year also marks the kick-off of a new, large-scale study into the impact of the campaign.
Almost half of Flemish people have already participated in the alcohol-free month
After ten years, Tournée Minérale has become a fixture. Everyone knows the campaign, and every year about one in five adult Flemish people participate. A mix of loyal and new participants. Over the years, this adds up: 44% of Flemish people have ever participated in Tournée Minérale.
Moreover, Tournée Minérale still reaches new people. In 2025, 2% – or 1 in 50 – of adult Flemish people said they were participating in the challenge for the first time. The fact that the campaign still encourages one in fifty adults to think about their alcohol consumption for the first time is incredibly valuable.
The benefits of an alcohol-free month are numerous!
Nine out of ten participants in the campaign say they experience at least one of the following benefits:
- More energy: avoiding alcohol can lead to an increase in energy, making you feel more vital throughout the day
- Better sleep: without alcohol, you can enjoy blissful night's sleep, so you wake up refreshed every morning.
- Save money: save money by skipping the drinks. It can really make a difference for your wallet!

- No hangover, more time: no hangovers means not only less headache, but also more time to do what you truly love.
So, we are not beating around the bush when we talk about the benefits of abstaining from alcohol. Research has shown that participants continue to moderate their alcohol consumption after the end of the Tournée Minérale campaign.
