Employers can claim a premium of 1,725 (amount valid on date of publication) euros when they hire an employee who has been incapacitated for work for at least one year. On October 1, 2023, the Dismissal Decree was introduced, an amendment to the Provincial Decree and the Local Government Decree, which made it possible to dismiss permanent staff members at local and provincial governments.
