Is a medical examination mandatory?

A medical examination is the best way to determine the physical and mental well-being of your employees. For employees in high-risk professions, it is also mandatory to ensure that the job can be performed safely and correctly. This particularly concerns employees in a safety function, who operate machines or carry a weapon, employees with increased vigilance, such as supervising the safety of others, and employees who are exposed to specific risks (noise, radiation, harmful substances, aggression, stress, extreme climate, etc.). For these jobs, a regular medical examination is required. For this, you can count on Premed's experienced occupational physicians.

How does a medical examination at Premed proceed?

Prior to the examination, we first visit the work environment. We consider the working conditions and discuss them with the employer. Once the occupational risks have been identified, the employee visits Premed. Our occupational physician draws up a clear health assessment based on targeted questions, tests and a conversation. This forms the basis for our advice with which a well-considered prevention policy can be developed.

For thorough and targeted health surveillance, your employee visits a Premed medical examination centre every two years. We have more than 25 regional offices. Is there a need for interim follow-up? Then our nurse provides an additional medical contact moment during the intervening year.
