Since 2016, the periodic medical examination for VDU workers is no longer mandatory. Instead, legislation requires a risk assessment for VDU work to be performed at least every 5 years. This analysis should evaluate the risks resulting from VDU work at a group level and at an employee level. Based on the results of the analysis, the employer must take appropriate measures.

In addition, it is also a legal obligation to provide employees with appropriate training when they start working at their VDU workstation. This training must be repeated periodically and when changes occur in the organisation.

If you wish to perform a risk assessment, please contact us for further information and a price quote via info@premed.be. We will devise a suitable plan based on your needs.

You can also contact us for further preventive measures:

  • On-site optimization of individual VDU workstations: One of our ergonomists will individually adjust the workstations correctly together with your employees.
  • 1-hour workshop ‘setting up a VDU workstation’: In this interactive workshop, employees learn how to correctly organize their VDU workplace (table, chair, screen, keyboard) and which ergonomic principles are important to prevent complaints.
  • 2-hour VDU work training: In this more extensive training, employees receive an overview of the risks of VDU work. Furthermore, it is explained how musculoskeletal disorders (back, neck, shoulder, and wrist complaints) and eye strain can be prevented. Employees learn how to correctly set up their VDU workplace and how to work comfortably at a VDU workstation.

Every intervention can be customised to your expectations and wishes.
